  8. A passenger transiting through Australia for 72 hours or less.
  9. A member of the air crew, or a member of the naval crew.
  10. A person employed under a government-approved seasonal employment program or a Pacific Worker Program.
  11. A person holding an Innovative Business and Investment visa (subclass 188).

 

Permit to travel to Australia

Before traveling to Australia, you must complete your travel authorization at least 72 hours before your date of departure for Australia. You may also need:

  •  A valid visa to enter Australia
  • Submit an application for exemption from travel restrictions
  •  Authorization to enter Australian states or territories.
  •  The Travel to Australia permit collects your contact details in Australia, flight details, quarantine requirements and your health status. 
  • This information helps the Australian Government determine your quarantine arrangements (if needed) and also allows the relevant Departments of Health to contact you if someone you have traveled with tests positive for COVID-19. 
  • If you do not complete the permit, you will not be able to board the plane, or you may experience delays when arriving in Australia.
