Procedures for traveling to England - student visa

To qualify for a student visa, you must have:

1. An unconditional offer of admission to a study program with a licensed sponsor.
2. Ability to speak, read, write and understand English
3. Enough money to support yourself and pay the tuition fee
4. Apply for a visa online
5. You must apply for a student visa online through the official UK government website.
6. You can apply up to three months before your scheduled travel date to the UK. The application date is the date on which you pay the application fee.

 

When you apply for a student visa, you will generally need to:

• A valid passport or travel document
• Proof of financial ability to pay living expenses during the study period in the Kingdom
• Confirmation letter of acceptance to study at the university or educational institution, the reference number of the application and the documents submitted to obtain the letter of acceptance
• A color photograph that fits the size of a passport
• Tuberculosis test (if needed)
• evaluation certificate
• ATAS Accreditation Scheme Clearance Certificate (if required).

 

English Terms

You must provide evidence of your level of English when you apply for a UK visa, this means that you must pass an English language test.

 

UK Visas and Immigration have set limited requirements for English language proficiency in terms of reading, writing, listening and speaking depending on your level of study. Your institution of education may have different English language requirements.

 

There is an opportunity to meet with a Visas and Immigration Officer as part of the visa application process. And if you can't have a simple conversation without an interpreter, your visa application will be rejected, regardless of your English language results.

 

Biometric Residence Permit

As part of the application process, you must obtain a biometric residence permit from Visas and Immigration. You will be scheduled for an appointment with the Visas and Immigration Department to scan your fingers and thumbs and take a digital photo of your face.
