Procedures for traveling to Saudi Arabia

It is allowed to transfer Saudi citizens on international flights to countries to which travel is permitted, provided that full doses of vaccines approved in the Kingdom are taken. The following categories of guests are excluded:

  • Children under the age of (12) twelve years, provided that they have a valid health insurance policy approved by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA) to cover the risks of COVID-19.
  • Individuals whose case in our Tawakkalna appears to be exempt from the COVID-19 vaccine, should be treated on an equal basis with those whose Tawakkalna appears to be immune.
  • Non-Saudis who obtained tourist visas are allowed to enter the Kingdom during the Corona Virus pandemic, if they complete receiving one of the approved vaccines for Corona Virus (Covid-19) from the Saudi Ministry of Health, with successful registration on the Admission platform through the link (https://muqeem.sa/#). /vaccine-registration/home) .
  • And submitting a PCR examination certificate with a negative result proving that they are free of the emerging corona virus, issued by a reliable laboratory outside the Kingdom, not exceeding 48 hours from the time of taking the sample until the time of departure to the Kingdom, and guests who do not hold a negative examination certificate will not be allowed to board the plane.

 

Medical insurance and other general requirements

  1. Recovering from infection with the Corona virus is not considered as a justification for not applying institutional quarantine procedures, as the Public Health Authority (Weqaya) does not consider it an indicator.
  2. All travelers wishing to visit the Kingdom (with the exception of citizens, residents and citizens of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries) are required to have medical insurance covering the treatment of infection with the emerging corona virus, including the costs of treatment in outpatient clinics, emergency and hospitals, and inclusive of institutional quarantine for a period of up to 14 days in the event that there is no need for admission at the hospital.
  3. All guests must install and register with the Tawakkalna application within (8) hours of arriving in the Kingdom.
  4. Guests should monitor the symptoms of the emerging corona virus and immediately call 937 in the event of any symptoms or go to the health center or emergency when necessary.

 

Immunization requirements

All arrivals are required to present a certificate proving that they have received the coronavirus vaccine with one of the following:

  • Two doses of the vaccine: Pfizer-Biontech or Comernate.
  • Two doses of the vaccine: Oxford-AstraZeneca, Kovishield, SK Bioscience, or Vaxyphria.
  • Two doses of the vaccine: Moderna or Specifax.
  • Single dose of Johnson's vaccine.
